Saariaho: composer in residence at NJO

Kaija Saariaho will be composer in residence at the Summer Academy of NJO, the Dutch Orchestra and Ensemble Academy. The Academy offers young musicians the possibility to perform her music in various orchestras and ensembles combined with master classes conducted by Kaija Saariaho as well as Camilla Hointenga, flute. Camilla Hoitenga will also perform the flute concerto Aile du Songe on August 20 and 21 with the NJO Symphony Orchestra. The repertoire encompasses a wide range of repertoire reaching back to Du Cristal (1989) but also presenting Leino Songs (2007). Please have a look at the calendar for further performance details.
